good evening, everyone i'm jim rosenfield. we'll take a live look outside where a winter weather advisory just expired in d.c. but the temperatures are expected to take a dive so the concern is icy roads. snow fell in frederick, maryland, drivers saw some flurries. there is leftover snow on the ground from wednesday there. snow turned to rain here in d.c. joggers braving the weather. less than inch fell in maryland. as temperatures dip below freezing, officials warning drivers to take it easy. storm team 4 meteorologist kim martucci is here with more. >> not much snow fell at d.c. a trace at reagan national. if you go north of frederick you get to 3 inches or more. the storm is leaving us. we said good-bye to the flurries a while ago. that is where ski country is. here's what is next for us. gusty winds on the way picking up overnight. this sends the wind chills into the teens tonight. it will feel like the 20s tomorrow. when i see you next we'll talk about a hiccup in the weather system coming our way for new year's day. >> t

. >> that's right, which is why boehner pulled the plug, jim, you'll recall, on that vote, which was supposed to be a show vote to put the pressure on the president to draw the line at a million. when he realized he didn't have a majority of the republicans, he didn't go forward. what this is now is an old school where you have a bipartisan society, where boehner would be asked to permit a vote, even if he knew most republicans would vote no. it's humiliating for a speaker, especially in this milieu, in the world we live in now. it would set up boehner to maybe lose the speakership when the vote is taken in the house for that on january 3rd. it would certainly mean a fight. you would have paul ryan, cantor saying, wait a minute, this guy forced a vote we didn't want to take, but that's what the president is trying to get boehner to do. give me a few republicans, says boim bhoim, i'll deliver democrats, i'll deliver senate and sign the bill and save 97% of americans from a tax hike. boehner might not be able to do it or might refuse to do it. that's the next step in this process. >> f
